Mystery Creature, Art Class, and a Desire to Sleep

Little Brick-e shows us our first exciting event of the warmer weather season. Natalia, Bup, and I enjoyed dinner outside on the back porch serenaded by tweets of the birds, friendly neighbors, and winter dirty dust. Suddenly, Bup bolts to the gutter, hair a flutter, and her sniffing becomes erratic. She's on her haunches growling at the downspout, right where the gutter meets the Home Depot plastic stretchy gutter part- you know the one. We head downt to investigate and find there is a living creature STUCK in the downspout. Vigorous jiggles do nothing, barking dog only further agitate and the warm weather has me worried for the poor creature and predicting horrible smells in the next few days. Noah, our handy animal-dealer-wither is away at class until late night. I am not brave enough to go any further... so we pack up, put on our walking shoes, and take a stroll down the block to look at the neighbor's rock collection.
Around 11, Noah gets home. I can't sleep worrying about this poor creature and feeling way too hot to find any slumber. Bounding out of bed, I grab the wooden cookspoon, and get Noah in on the rescue operation. We yank off flexible gutter, I have the wooden spoon held high, and Bup is ready to strike. Natalia is sleeping and snoring away in her room. immediately out flies, or maybe scurries, a black creature of the night across the lawn and away to safety.
Done.
