2009 has arrived and may it be healthy, happy, and full of living well for all of us!
It came this morning with some fireworks, Brookie style over by Jenine, Doug, and Charlie's.
Then this morning was followed up with a new YMCA dance craze- ZUMBA! Noah demonstrates a key move in these photos. After sweating out the evenings indulgences, we headed home straight for the couch and a long nap narrated by football and hockey players and announcers.
We followed this up with a trip to the Brookfield Zoo. Now, every year we check in with the Lincoln Park Wharthog to make sure all is right in the world. Well, all is right, at least for us (thanks), however, the poor pacaderm. He needs a major change. It was like stepping back into a 1970's zoo where 2 elephants were shoved in a cinderblock cell and then given a hose dripping water. It was unsetlling and I would love to break them free!
We were concerned that this was telling of the new year, but then we found a nice leaf with a seed pod attatched and knew that things were still good and working properly even in 2009.
Phew!
