This particular morning, we shipped off at the crack of dawn to find us some iron rich red Alabama soil. Our Little Debbie Honda Civic pointed straight towards I65, all tuned up and ready to rumble. First, however, a coffee jolt and some traveling tunes were necessary. This year on the menu, we selected RedEyes, Giant Size and Radiohead. A little Emorock at 5 am as you are headed out of town fits perfectly even for a girl that normally is more inclined to some rockus-a-rollus noise.
We found ourselves eating our first pile of Pancakes at CrackerBarrel. Jayne had always told us that their pancakes were scrumptious. They were a treat. What also was scrumptious was that giant sized, 6 foot tall Hershey's Bar! Holy chocolate!
Anyways after waiting and waiting and waiting and then finally realizing that we had to pay "in the lobby" we rolled on out to Birmingham not until we found ourselves in the TN valley driving through bliding rain.
A place called Sarges Shack is the best refuge for this dilemma. No joke. It was either that or The Booby Bungalow, and I was just a little uncomfortable with that selection.
